Re-released by Deep Soul Space Recordings Originally released in 2007 by Klik Records, Seven Days in Heaven marked Aris Kokous debut as a solo artist during a defining era for the electronic music scene in Greece and beyond.
By that time, Aris Kokou was already an established name, known for his work with Bill Makris on the project Intersperse, which saw over seven 12 releases on LTJ Bukems legendary Good Looking Records. The duos output earned widespread recognition in the global drum & bass community, with tracks featured in seminal compilations like Progression Sessions 5 and Logical Progression Level 4. In parallel, the duo explored deep and tech house through their Eastern Strategy moniker on Plastic City Suburbia.
Seven Days in Heaven remains a standout concept album – an emotive journey through deep house foundations, enriched with tech house textures, atmospheric downtempo moments, and subtle drum & bass undertones. The sequencing is tight and expressive, crafting emotional highs and introspective lows in cinematic flow.
As Aris himself describes: Each track was created based on personal experiences and recollections. The sentiment of love is dominant, as most tracks were produced during times when there was plenty of it.
This digital reissue brings Seven Days in Heaven back to the spotlight – a timeless work that still resonates today, both sonically and emotionally. A modern classic, reintroduced to a new generation of listeners, from a producer who has consistently bridged the worlds of electronic, soul, and jazz-influenced sound.
